Jarryl ‘Victor’ Bryan is a Creative Fiction Writer whose day job is a journalist and news presenter. He lives in Guyana, South America and holds qualifications in Communication Studies from the University of Guyana.

His fictional work was long listed for two consecutive years (2021, 2022) on the Brooklyn Caribbean Literary Festival (BCLF), which highlights creative work from writers in the Caribbean. He was also a 2022 fellow of the US based Voodoonauts Summer Fellowship, where principal subjects included Afro-futurism and surrealist fictional writing.

Jarryl is also skilled as a video editor and producer. Youtube channel Guyanese Griot, which produces history content on Guyana, is his brainchild and all videos on the channel were produced by him.
